Norfolk Assembly Plant

Does anyone have any photos of this place? I know they do tours there so I would have expected to find plenty of pics on Google but no such luck.

My truck was built there and I would kind of like to see the place.

I actually work there. I might have built your truck. Cameras aren't allowed in the Plant, but there was a documentary on assembly lines that came on the education channel a few years ago that was filmed at the plant.

For some reason or another, it's hard to find pictures of any Ford plant. I got to tour Hapesville when I was in high school, and they said no to cameras too.

Do they do unscheduled / walk-in tours?

That might explain why I can't find photos by the truckload.

abad:

My windshield on my 05 cracked a few weeks ago. The windshield that was installed to replace it had servere scratches in it, so another windshield had to put in. The Norfolk Assembly Plant decal now looks worse than my driving record did when I was 18. Any idea where I can get another?

Same here, had my windshield replaced a while back and the Norfolk sticker didn't make it. I'd love to have it back on there.

Hardly any auto plant allows photos or videos to be taken by outsiders without prior approval from upper management. The only real exception is when you are the Tier 1 supplier and the OEM calls you because your part is defective and you need pictures to take back to the head of quality for your own plant.

Both of my trucks were built at the Northfolk plant My 2000 and my current truck my 2005. My 2000 was a great truck no problems out of it except for the factrot cd player problem of over heating that I replaced with a Pioneer unit and then the trany acting up at 96k making me trade it in for my 05 So far my new truck is problem free.

Mine was also built in Norfolk, VA. <<<checks OASIS>>>

Yep, I was right. Explains why it's been 100% problem free since Day 1, no vibes, no clunks, no weird noises, nothing. Only thing its ever been in for was the re-flash. It runs perfect!

We aren't on the list. They are actually doing alot of construction at the plant. We were told the only way they would close the plant is if they stopped selling the F-150.
