Anyone ever lambo styled their doors? Everyone around here does pretty much the same mods. Step rails, bed rails, line of fire, etc...I am looking to do something a little more different.

When I was a kid, I was really into transformers. Yes, I'll admit I'm a nerd, geek, whatever. Anyway, I am thinking about some motorized step rails, and maybe a lambo kit for the doors, then getting the badge overlays from web extremes with the transformer logo.

Any thoughts?

 

that would be tight. and maybe get a sound badge with T-150 instead of F-150

this may take a while. cheapest lambo kit I've seen is $500. Then again, most expensive was $1600. I'm hoping to find one that isn't going to require extensive body modifications.

 

There are a lot of post on this site about lambo doors.... A lot of guys say get the 135 degree angle to be able to get into the truck... A lot of the guys had problems getting into their truck with the lambos....

 

hmm...I will have to search that then. Wonder how tall they were? I'm a pretty short guy so I wonder if the 90 degrees would be okay. Maybe it didn't have to deal with their height at all. I guess it could leave too small of an opening. glad you said something. I might not have researched it enough.

If you do get the lambo hinges, go with the more expensive ones. You know the cheapest ones aren't going to be worth a flip.

 

I think this would be a cool mod. It doe look like 90degree ones might be a little hard to get into the truck with.

i thought about doing this for awhile but it would be a pain in the *** either way to go to get into your truck, now what would really be cool is to have doors like a deloreon (sp)

 

yeah...Gull wings would be cool too. problem with gull wings is that it would require a little more work to the door and the top of the cab. Plus, it would be difficult for tight parking situations.

I don't know about the lighted emblems. Almost too much, but I could see where it could be somewhat cool.

well, I got $200 in my truck budget, still got a ways to go, but its definitely on the drawing board.
