Exclamation Throttle Cable Recall

Tuesday, November 30, 1999 Windsor Star News Paper

"About 900 1999 Ford Super Duty and a handfull of year-2000 versions of the same truck are being recalled because of the throttle cable can get stuck. The trucks involved are equipped with 5.4 litre engines and manual transmissions. The trottle cable and housing will be replaced with the parts used on the automatic transmission version of the truck. The recall number is 99S27."

For your friends of the smaller vehicle version.

"Ford has also announced it is recalling its 1999 Mustang, Taurus and Sable and the 2000 Lincoln Continental to replace the seat the shoulder belts. In certain seat positions the belt web won't unwind from the retractor. The recall number is 99S26."

From a concerned little guy compared to the Supers.

Where can I find out if my truck is affected? I have a 2000 SD F250 with the 5.4L and 5 speed, with a build date of 10-23-99.

Sorry buddy, I only posted this to let you guys know. I would have to assume that you would be able to take to your closest dealership and they should be able to tell you.
