That's why you use wheel chocks.
Lesson learned.
From all of the boats I've launched and retrieved, I have the helper throw chocks under 4 of my truck tires. This way the boat nor the water will be able to take my truck away easily. Plus it makes it easier when I go to retrieve it using a stick truck without the fear of rolling back further when I take off the e-brake.

Ive launched my boat probably 500+ times in the 9 years I have had my truck, never had any issue...a lot of this depends on the ramp you use...check it out good before you back down if your unfamiliar..Im in S.Florida so our ramps arent steep, as were really close to sea level ,so im sure that makes a big difference.....good luck out there
