10 LB. Pulley Questions?

I wanted to know who has ran a 10 lb pulley and what you though about it.

Also do any of you have one for a 2000 Lightning for sale?

10lb pulley

Whats next, pulling the tired of our spare and using the rim as a pulley

Suavy - if you want that much boost why not get a new blower. It seems a 10lb pulley would put the stock blower way out of efficiency range and just produce more heat then power.

Whoa Suavy...that is one sweet mod list. With the built lower end, you can get crazy with the power adders. Don't forget the juice.

I heard a few stories about them also.
However, after talking to a few engine builders who basicly told me the only issue they had is there is a lot to clean up on them size wise. Further, they thought they were good quality and durable pistons
What made them beter was Manley sponsered my internals.

I have a 10# pulley on my L. I haven't drove it yet cause I have a broken valve spring. It will be at JDM's the week after FFW Orlando and the springs will be changed out. Also a bigger heat exchanger will relace the stocker which I think is a MUST for a 10#. Will have some dyno #s around the 8th of March.

Later,
Justin

P.S. The 10# is so big that I had to tie the tranny cooler lines to the front sway bar for the pulley to clear. I will fix that properly when I get it back.

FYI, it takes a 70" belt for a 10# and stock upper

I forgot I had this picture. The 10# is on the left and 3# on the right. Like you couldn't tell which is which.

I remember when people said that about the 2# , then the 3# , then the 4# , Then the 5#, Then the 6# , Then the 8#, Now the 10#..................

I have run the 8# for 4000 miles, about 25 passes (7 in the 11s and the rest 12.0s) on a stock block.
Do I recommend it , NO. Is my 8# coming off , Eventually.

I always thought lower blower pulley size would blow the motor but my feelings have gone toward detenation a lot more as I have seen the stock eaton taken too its maximum and the motor is still alive.

Of course this is just my .02 cents.
