1998 Ford F150 trailer wiring problem
My 1998 F150 has a factory wired harness for the tail lights but I am getting no brake lights or turn signals at rear plug. I do have tail lights and a good ground. I have checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood on the left side. In the fuse box under the hood there are some weird little black things that I think are diodes.
Help me figure this one out and I will be

[sarcasm] It's the one that's not in your owner's manual. Thanks, Ford! [/sarcasm]
Couldn't resist taking that swipe at them.
It's back in the corner under the hood spring, on the inner fender close to the firewall.
Two fuses: A 5A for the PCM KAM and a 20A for the trailer BRAKE /TURN SIGNALS.

You can download a copy from www.fleet.ford.com under maintenance.
My point was that Ford failed to document it in the 98's manual.

Thanks for the compliment, but I have my moments also.
I have been known to be a smart @ss more then once myself.
I like to think it is not unless provoked though...?

Thanks Guys! You Fixed My Problem
With your help I now have my problem fixed. I appreciate everybodys help and the link to the owners manual. I worked on this for over 4 hours tracing wires and checking fuses but never saw that mini-fuse box.

The internet is MAGIC. I've been chasing this exact same problem ('98 F-150) for the better part of today. I even had to go out a purchase a new test light while fiddling with the trailer plug. I had checked all of the fuses in the big box under the hood. I had NO idea about the little box.
