MUST SEE VIDEO: '03 Lightning vs Lingenfelter H2
hi guys, here's the story.
you may remember that there is a kid here in my town with an '03 Lightning that blew his motor running #6 lower in the winter with no chip.
well now he's bought a jdm shortblock, ported heads, KB, torque converter, slicks, the full deal. some buddies of mine from my old dealership are installing the stuff for him. and they have been talking LOTS of chit about how they are going to beat me at the track with this truck.
there are several threads about this ongoing story.
well anyway, a buddy had this video of him last year at the track.
at that time the truck had a #6 lower, chip, filter, and longtubes. the truck should have been running high to mid 12's all day long on street tires.
unfortunately due to the kid's "unique" launch technique, he was running 16.00s!
so for those who have been following the story... THIS IS WHAT I'M UP AGAINST
John Force ain't got nothin' on this burnout.

(note: the video is kind poor quality at the start, but if you look closely, you'll see the H2 blow past the Lightning at the start! and it actually stays in front till the finish line! even worse, the H2 BRAKE CHECKED HIM before the finish!)

My wife was sitting there looking at me like I'm an idiot while I was nearly choking to death laughing. She said I was embarressing her and there wasn't anyone even here. It reminded me of a cartoon. Then the John Force comment put me over the top. If laughter is the best medicine, I should live to be 100.
