Cool Bell Tech 3" 4"

Alright, I'm planning on putting the Bell Tech 3" 4" Drop on my 1998 f150 reg cab. What type of shocks do i need to install along w/ the kit, or do i even need to? Thanks!

Cool

You don't have to but it is highly recommended to replace the shocks as well. Constantly being compressed will cause them to wear out in no time, plus you will want to have a different dampening rate because you will have less suspension travel.

As far as which ones to use, bell tech has the shocks as well. About $35 each for the regular ones and about $50 - $59 for their nitroactive shocks.

PictureMeRollin:
i still have the old shocks on no problem.
but Chris is right it will wear out sooner
instead of buying high dollar shocks.
on my 82 f-100 5 in front & 7 in rear
i have a friend that worked at a chassis parts jobber. they have specs for every
shock they have.
you take the old specs and match it to a shorter one

If you going to use Belltech kit buy Belltech shocks too don't mix with different brand. I had Belltech kit with ground force. 2 years later I put Belltech shock and it really made a diferent.Ground Force don't last that long. Something thatpeople are not aware BELLTECH SHOCKS ARE WARRANTY FOR LIFE if they botton up they will be replace for free.
