Procomp 6" with bilsteins (for 2" more) and an AAL in the rear. Eventually I will spend the coin to get coilovers......but it's snowboarding season....so all of my cash goes to new gear...gas...and lift tickets....

Do yourself a favor and try driving at 55-60mph on the freeway, my mileage is pretty much shot if I go anything over 65. There really is nothing you can do besides regearing if aiming to better in town mileage. I've done many engine mods that release drivetrain loss, common sense reveals they do nothing but better your mileage (taking off parts that slow your engine, efans, cats, pullies, etc). I'm also a little lower in height than most 8" lifts. I get about 18 on winter gas @ 60, 55 is a little better.

I am on 3.73's and 37's, the stroke distance for each gear are huge. In other words, taller gears (numerically lower numbers) will make the engine turn less RPM at a given speed. Going up in tire size has a similar effect to swapping for taller gears, or going from 3.73's to 3.55's or even lower (obviously minus rotational mass). Right now I'm probably equivalent to 3.11's on stock tires or some rediculous low number if you wanted to calculate it that way, plus a little added rotational mass which doesn't amount to too much reduction if cruising, it's just the getting to that speed. Therefore I don't have much getup off the line but make up for it on the highway. I wouldn't go [numerically] any lower than what I have right now, as I think my mileage would decrease if I did. It's pretty close to a sweet spot, if anything I'd go to slightly shorter gears. 3.55's on 37's would probably not work as well without several mods, but I could be wrong. 4.10's on 37's feel like they'd be about perfect for highway mileage. I wish I had the money to experiment further.

In town I couldn't be getting more than 12mpg, but I don't even pay attention to the depressing side of things. That's why I still own it.
