Hi NINO,
I really like the looks of your truck. I would like to put the same wheels and tires on my 98 ORP SC. Unfortunatly I will not be able to get the lift kit installed over here in Germany. At least not right away. What I would like to know is do your tires rub now on the unlifted truck? From the photos it looks like you have plenty of room around the tire. Parking is "hairy" sometimes here and I am often going lock to lock. Will i be fine?
Donald Temple I would like you to answer this question as well because I too would opt for 8 inch rims with that tire height.
Thanks
John

Sprocket6 ,I put the 16x8 mainly because i didn't want the mud and gravel all up the side of my truck. The 16x10 stick out the fender well 2-3 inches.

Question

I've got a 98 F150 XLT 4x4 without ORP. I've already upgraded the shocks, and im going from 16' wheels to 17's. I was wondering if anyone in here wants to sell their 17" ORP Rims. I will pay for shipping and handling, and of course, cost of rims. If possible, without tire?? please email me or reply back on this message board. I haven't talked to ford yet so i have no idea on what they go for. I'm sure its around 400 bucks or so. not completey sure though.

98F150XLT- I have some 98 ORP wheels for sale. They are in exc. Shape. They have Goodyear Wrangler AT/S tires, almost new, like 5k on them. I'll take $500 plus shipping. An awesome setup.

Thumbs up

Hey everyone...check out...

Yokohama AVS S/T

These are pretty sweet tires with a few more options on sizes for 17" & 18" wheels.

Erik

PS...too bad Les Schwab tires are only in the West...cuz they make a lot of tires specifically for lifted trucks and maximum fit! I have Wild Country (Les Schwab brand) 315/75/16's (same as 35/12.5/15's)on my EX and they only cost $ 145.00 ea.

Jacked '97 Expedition XLT 4x4,5.4L,4" Trailmaster lift, 315-75-16's on 16x8 ASA rims, K&N filter, Smittybuilt sure steps, Kenwood Excelon KDC-X811 CD w/ 10 Disc Changer, Zapco amps, KEF seperates, Boston Acoustics Pro-10" sub and lots of future plans...will work for truck parts!

I hate Aftermarket wheels. i think 90% of them are sooooooo ugly. The F150 has some nice lookin wheels stock, except the XL, and workseries rim.

Hey 98F150xlt4x446
Do you have the polished alum XLT wheels?
I hate mine, they hold about a cup of water when I wash them. Then it gets slung out (on the side of the truck )when I drive it. Bad, Bad, Bad design, that guy needs a reality check. I am suprised Ford is still putting them on trucks.

P>S If you buy 17's would you sell 1 of your 16" to replace my spare wheel?
