This 1975 F-100 is a Stunning Combination of New and Old

Truck builds often start with modest expectations. Maybe you want to make your old ride into a reliable driver, or just lay down a fresh paint job. Maybe even clean up the interior a little. Or, as in the case of this 1975 F-100, you can just say screw it and go all out.

Part restoration and part restomod, this ’75 is 100% stunning inside and out. The body and paintwork is flawless thanks to a complete tear down that resulted in every panel being stripped down to the metal. A 6″ Skyjacker suspension lift makes room for those 37×13.50 Open Country tires, which are mounted on modern 17×9 XD wheels.

That new/old theme continues inside, where a rebuilt seat and carpet join all new Painless wiring and switches, an Ididit column, Dakota Digital gauges, and a Nostalgic A/C system. Power comes from a Jasper rebuilt 390 that has a host of performance parts: Holley carb, Edelbrock intake, RV cam, and Hedman headers to name a few.

A 4-speed manual sends power forward to a Dana 44 and backward to a 9″ rear end. Gears are a steep 4.56. There are a host of goodies underneath as well, including Warn hubs, shocks, new fuel and brake lines, and a disc brake conversion.

The end result is one of the nicest ’75 F-100’s you’ll find, one that combines the best of the new with the stuff that made us fall in love with dentsides to begin with.  It’s also for sale, but be warned – all that goodness doesn’t come cheap.
