The Ford Raptor, in and of itself, is a very capable vehicle. Designed to be a fast off-road toy, it’s one of the coolest factory built trucks of all time. But great trucks like the Raptor won’t stop the aftermarket from one upping the OEM’s every year.

While manufacturers have certain restrictions and guidelines they must operate within, the aftermarket can go a few steps further. Case in point – the Baja 740.  It all starts with a a plain-old, four-wheel drive, SuperCrew F-150.s-l1600-2

A Roush Supercharger and other go-fast parts pump horsepower up to an astounding 740 while retaining the factory warranty. The suspension features Fox shocks and adjustable coil-overs with more travel than a Raptor. The 20″ wheels are wrapped in 35×12.5/R20 tires.

LED lighting, custom graphics, and beefy bumpers wrap up the outside mods. Things are quite plush inside with a custom leather interior and all the goodies afforded by the Lariat package.

So if you’re the type who considers the Raptor to be a little too mild for your tastes, perhaps the Baja 740 is more your speed. With pricing similar to the (similarly equipped) Shelby F-150, the Baja represents yet another awesome aftermarket interpretation of America’s favorite truck.
