Are we looking at the 2021 Ford F-150? Our partner site spied what appears to be a camo-clad F-Series rolling right by our offices.

Recently, a huge Ford gift dropped into our laps. Our colleagues over at Ford Truck Enthusiasts were in El Segundo, CA, where are corporate offices are located. Before we could say “What the truck–”  a truck clad in spy camo was spotted road testing right in front of our eyes.

From the few precious seconds we had, we think what we saw was an upcoming Ford prototype. Thankfully, the FTE crew picked up a camera.

So what are we looking at? Based on the overall appearance, this appears to be a Ford F-Series truck. What first pops out at us is the roll bar. The roll bar was attached to the cab and looks to be affixed to the bed. An F-150 with a roll bar can only mean off-road. Is it an F-150? A Raptor? Or is this maybe even a variation on the upcoming Bronco?

It is possible the roll bar is just being used for testing, or even to throw off the prying eyes of auto journalists. Ahem.

Of course the SuperCab is another detail we were intrigued by. Notably, this SuperCab has door handles on all doors, a new feature for the SuperCab. It’s a small detail, but a big convenience.

Additionally, the prototype was leaving the Boeing facility. Hmm. Big space, perfect for indoor driving, testing new technology and features….

This is definitely a beefy body that cuts a rugged profile. The rear lights seem appear to be a new design, and if this is the 2021 Ford F-150, we are definitely liking what see.
