Ford Truck Accident

Ford pickup truck driver flips vehicle, manages to walk away unscathed.

The majority of vehicle slogans, like “Built Ford Tough,” which the Blue Oval uses for its F-Series models, are seen as simply jargon written by the marketing team to boost sales. The catchier the slogan, the more sales the automaker gets. This extremely lucky driver, though, found out firsthand that Ford’s slogan is more than a marketing line, it’s a promise! Ford trucks really are tough. Really tough!

According to a report by the Hickory Record, a Ford pickup truck driver rolled his vehicle on Airport Rhodhiss Road in Hickory, N.C. Local firefighter Melissa Tucker, with the Drowning Creek Volunteer Fire Department, responded to the scene and claims that the driver appeared to have gone unscathed from the massive accident. “He wasn’t complaining of any injuries,” she says.

The firefighter also says that the driver of the Ford truck was talking and moving before Burke County EMS transported him to Valdese General Hospital.

‘He wasn’t complaining about any injuries.’

The N.C. State Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident. Trooper K.B. Robinson stated that the pickup truck driver told a witness that the vehicle’s brakes locked up and the engine cut off just before the accident, reports the Hickory Record.

Robinson believes that the driver turned to avoid running into the rear of another vehicle. “The skid marks look like he jerked the wheel at the last minute,” says the trooper.

While the driver’s last-minute decision to avoid crashing into another vehicle was valiant, he’s lucky to be alive after the massive incident. The crash was obviously a violent one, as seen by the various pieces of debris scattered around the truck.

At the end of the day, “Built Ford Tough” may sound like a funny slogan, but it’s an adequate way of describing our favorite trucks that seems to be proven time and again.
