Witness the F-150 Raptor’s Fox Racing Shocks Work Their Magic
Unlike most off-road trucks, the Raptor’s suspension must sort out obstacles at a high rate of speed. And it does it like no other.
We’ve brought you 101 examples of how awesome and capable the Ford F-150 Raptor really is. It’s fast, it’s agile, it’s built tough, and it looks darn good. That being said, have you ever wondered what its secret weapon is?
We at F-150 Online have spent many miles at the wheel of the off-road champ, and we’re convinced that the answer to its prowess isn’t just one thing — it’s the whole darn package. That being said, more than the high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and 10-speed transmission, it’s the Fox Racing shocks and BF Goodrich K02 tires that make it virtually unstoppable. Because remember, a capable drivetrain means diddly squat if you can’t put the power down to the ground.
This unique video found in the The Straight Pipes‘ YouTube channel further validates our findings. During their recent off-road adventure, they decided to place a camera inside the wheel well aimed at the control arm, tire, and suspension components. Needless to say, the images are mind-blowing.
To make the video even cooler, they’ve also added the main footage from an exterior angle, while retaining the suspension shot in a lower box in the lower right corner. This is by far the best way appreciate such an incredible suspension system while it’s hard at work.
Don’t take our word for it. Check out the video!
