F-150 SVT Raptor Ranked among 12 Meanest Vehicles to Environment

The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor was designed to be one of the meanest trucks on the road. Ford had no intention of making its super truck one of the meanest vehicles to the environment, but according to the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE), the Raptor is listed among the 12 “Meanest Vehicles for the Environment in 2014“.

To generate its list, ACEEE calculates tailpipe emissions, fuel economy and other factors to generate a “Green Score” from 0 to 100 — the higher the score, the more environmentally friendly the vehicle. For example, an efficient car like the Honda Civic Hybrid received a Green Score of 55. The Raptor’s score, of course, was lower. Coming in at seventh place on the mean list, the Raptor got a 22. The sixth-ranked Mercedes-Benz G550 (another automotive badass) also received a score of 22.
