Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Not Available in 2015; FX2/FX4, Limited and STX Models Too
Say it isn’t so….long live the SVT Raptor! Judging from the latest news from Detroit, it looks like Ford has made some major product changes for the 2015 F-150 lineup.
Sadly, the SVT Raptor, the FX/FX4, the F-150 Limited and the STX are no longer available as Regular Cab, SuperCab and Supercrew models in 2015.
However, the FX4 off-road package is still optional in all the new XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum series trucks.
The SuperCab 4X2/4X4 is currently an option only available on the lucky Lariat series. The King Ranch and Platinum models have a Base and a Luxury Array of options including a Technology Package, Active Park Assist and Adaptive Cruise Control.
On a minor note, bright side moldings are no longer available on the Platinum series and the Ford Work Solutions Cable Lock is no longer available. A major bummer for molding fans.
Good news in the paint department! New exterior paint colors include Bronze Fire Metallic, Caribou Metallic, Guard Metallic and Magnetic Metallic. Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clear coat is available on the King Ranch and Blue Jeans Metallic on Platinum trucks. Go blue jeans!
Say goodbye to Sunset Metallic, Vermilion Red, Kodiak Brown Metallic and Pale Adobe Metallic paints which are no longer available. Truckers in Orange County, California are sure to protest the loss of Pale Adobe – the horror!
So when will we see a new SVT Raptor? Only time will tell, but you can bet the ranch that Ford will bring it back soon. Real soon.
