Ford F-250 Super Duty Named ‘Best Truck in Three-Quarter Ton Class’
One of Ford’s toughest F-250 Super Dutys wins more raves.
It’s been a busy year for the all-new 2017 Ford Super Duty. Ford changed a lot of components on the new Super Duty, including adding body panels made out of aluminum alloy, a stiffer frame, and a bunch of tech goodies that made the pickup even more formidable. The changes worked, as the truck was recently named “Truck of the Year” by Motor Trend and received the “Texas Truck of the Year” award, as well. The awards haven’t stopped for the new Super Duty though.
The F-250 Super Duty has nabbed another award, this time from the enthusiasts over at Pickup Trucks. The experts from the outlet named the F-250 Super Duty King Ranch as the “Best Premium Three-quarter Ton Pickup truck of 2017.”
The F-250 pickup truck went up against other competitors in the three-quarter ton segment and put through numerous tests. According to Ford, all of the pickup trucks went through payload and towing capacity tests, acceleration and braking evaluations, as well as overall driver/passenger comfort assessments.
The new award, according to Ford, helps demonstrate how the Blue Oval continues to be a leader in the three-quarter ton segment.
“We’ve listened to our customers who depend on three-quarter ton trucks to get the job done, whether that’s the work truck hauling equipment and tools, or the RV-er traveling cross country with their boats and campers,” says Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager.
Is there an end in sight to the amount of awards that Ford and its F-Series of pickup trucks will win? We think not.
