For a very long time, Ford was seriously lacking in the performance car game. The Mustang just wasn’t really all that good, and that’s really all Ford had to work with.

Then suddenly, Ford became one of the hottest performance car manufacturers on the planet. The company went from making Contours and Probes to Fiesta and Focus STs. As well as EcoBoost Mustangs, and Raptors. The nameplate saw a resurgence that’s been unrivaled in recent automotive history.

In addition to the company’s production performance cars, each year for the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Ford works with a few outside parties to create a set of one off performance vehicles designed to set the consumer’s imagination aflame.

This year, working in collaboration with sideways enthusiast Vaughn Gittin Jr., Ford created an absolutely stunning Performance F-150 that’s designed to be the ultimate drift and jump truck.

Working with Kibbetech King and Air Lift Performance, the truck is able to have a full 12-inches of travel allowing it to easily go from jumps to drifting all by the touch of a button.

At its full ride height, the suspension travel allows the truck to easily make any jump in its path. Then when the driver wants to take it sideways, the air suspension lowers and the truck becomes a totally different animal.

Specs on the upcoming show car are fairly limited, but since SEMA is just around the corner, we won’t have to wait long to find out the rest of the likely ridiculous details on the truck.
