Armed with nothing more than a Dremel tool and plenty of talent, this Army vet turns Ford trucks into rolling masterpieces!

Art, as they say, is in the eye of the beholder. What some might see as an impressive work, others might dismiss as something that looks like it was designed by a toddler with a paint brush. But no one will deny the incredible work completed by Hanro Studios owner Hank Robinson. The Army veteran, who served tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo, discovered his passion for engraving as he transitioned to civilian life. And judging by the amazing pair of Ford trucks he’s completed so far, his talent easily equals that passion.

Robinson started out small, doing some engraving out of his garage before starting his company. But it didn’t take long before his work caught the attention of FX Autobody in Avondale, Arizona. Since then, Robinson has collaborated with everyone from West Coast Customs to musicians and professional athletes.

Of course, we’re most interested in his latest projects, a pair of amazing engraved Ford trucks. This stunning 2016 Ford F-150, known as “Freedom Blues,” is the first (and only) vehicle ever fully engraved using nothing more than a Dremel tool. As you might guess given Robinson’s background, it’s also a fitting tribute to those who have served our country.

The truck’s aluminum body made it a fitting canvas for the artwork. Unlike steel, it allows him to leave the bare metal exposed with no concern for rust. Still, Robinson spent a whopping 900 hours making this F-150 a rolling masterpiece.

Robinson engraves everything from wheels to motorcycle engines. But he’s also been working on a Super Duty he calls “Aluminati.” This stunning piece of work features engraving on everything from the grille to the wheels and body.

It’s hard not to love what Robinson is doing, and it’s easy to want to tell his story. After all, both are arguably equally fascinating. Not to mention incredibly inspiring!
