F-150 pickups and parts for sale are grouped by generation for easy searching.

If you are selling a Ford F-150 or if you are selling parts for one of America’s bestselling pickups, F-150Online is one of the best resources for putting your products in front of the right buyers. While the forum is best-known for offering volumes of detailed technical information, the community is also a great place to buy and sell trucks and truck components to other Ford truck enthusiasts. Best of all, like every other aspect of the forum, posting in the classifieds section is free and you aren’t likely to get the spam replies like you will from Craigslist.

F-150 Online classifieds

While looking through the forums, we found a thread by “JKrapf89”, in which the OP was asking how to use the classifieds section. In seeing his confusion, we put together this piece that explains where and how to post your F-150 or parts for your F-150 in the forum classifieds section.

Classifieds Section Requirement

Posting in the classifieds section to sell your F-150 or random parts is free, but there are some basic requirements. You have to have been a member for at least 20 days and you need to have made at least 10 posts somewhere on the forum. Keep in mind, the goal of the classifieds section is to give members a place to buy and sell things. Requiring 10 posts and 20 days of membership prevents people who are only going to join, post something for sale and never return. This method also helps to cut back on spammers who aren’t likely to spend three weeks on the forum just to post knock-off Nikes for sale from a Russian website.

Once you meet the basic membership requirements, you are able to post your F-150 or parts for sale in the classifieds section, but before doing so, we suggest that you click here for the rules of the forum marketplace system.

Posting Your F-150 For Sale

To post your F-150, or F-150 parts, for sale here on the forum, you will want to begin by signing up to the forum. Once you have a registered login, you will need to make 10 posts around the forum and spend three weeks getting to know the lay of the virtual land. We suggest that you stop by the Introduction Forum section and introduce yourself, providing some details about your truck.

Ford-Trucks

Once you have met the membership criteria, you are ready to post in the classifieds section. You will find it about two-thirds of the way down the main forum page, under the “F-150 Online Marketplace” category.

When you click on Personal Classifieds, you are taken into the section where members list things for sale. The section is organized into subsections by generation, starting with trucks for sale then moving onto the sections for Parts and Accessories. In addition to the era-specific sections, there are sections just for the SVT Lightning and “wanted” sections.

F-150 Marketplace

If you are selling a truck or parts from a truck, you simply pick the era section that applies to what you are selling. Once in the proper section, you create a for-sale post just like you would any other post.

Start by clicking “New Thread” above the discussions. For the thread title, you want include the basics such as the model year and the actual model, as we do have information on other F-Series trucks on the forum. If you are selling parts, your title should still include the applicable models for those parts. In the message, you should include as much detail on the truck or the parts as possible and, most importantly, include your own pictures of the items being sold. You add pictures by clicking “manage attachments”, which we have circled below.

F-150 Marketplace

Once you have added your title, message, and pictures, you submit like a normal thread and your F-150 or F-150 items will be listed in the F150Online Marketplace.

"Before I was old enough to walk, my dad was taking me to various types of racing events, from local drag racing to the Daytona 500," says Patrick Rall, a lifetime automotive expert, diehard Dodge fan, and respected auto journalist for over 10 years. "He owned a repair shop and had a variety of performance cars when I was young, but by the time I was 16, he was ready to build me my first drag car – a 1983 Dodge Mirada that ran low 12s. I spent 10 years traveling around the country, racing with my dad by my side. While we live in different areas of the country, my dad still drag races at 80 years old in the car that he built when I was 16 while I race other vehicles, including my 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and my 1972 Dodge Demon 340.

"Although I went to college for accounting, my time in my dad’s shop growing up allowed me the knowledge to spend time working as a mechanic before getting my accounting degree, at which point I worked in the office of a dealership group. While I was working in the accounting world, I continued racing and taking pictures of cars at the track. Over time, I began showing off those pictures online and that led to my writing.

"Ten years ago, I left the accounting world to become a full-time automotive writer and I am living proof that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life," adds Rall, who has clocked in time as an auto mechanic, longtime drag racer and now automotive journalist who contributes to nearly a dozen popular auto websites dedicated to fellow enthusiasts.

"I love covering the automotive industry and everything involved with the job. I was fortunate to turn my love of the automotive world into a hobby that led to an exciting career, with my past of working as a mechanic and as an accountant in the automotive world provides me with a unique perspective of the industry.

"My experience drag racing for more than 20 years coupled with a newfound interest in road racing over the past decade allows me to push performance cars to their limit, while my role as a horse stable manager gives me vast experience towing and hauling with all of the newest trucks on the market today.

"Being based on Detroit," says Rall, "I never miss the North American International Auto Show, the Woodward Dream Cruise and Roadkill Nights, along with spending plenty of time raising hell on Detroit's Woodward Avenue with the best muscle car crowd in the world.
