Extreme sports enthusiasts ‘Mark Freeman #408’ get F-150 airborne!
Check out some of the awesome things that a couple of bored daredevils Ford F-150 enthusiasts get into in the badass clip F-150 Huge Air, above.
Mark Freeman and his team are kind of like those guys from Jackass, but these guys are a little more badass. In fact, their Ford truck actually gets airborne!
The team from Mark Freeman #408 says their YouTube channel is dedicated to every extreme sport out there. “We started out strictly with motocross and ATV quad racing but realized there was only so much to be filmed,” they say. “Then we added in
“We started out with motocross and ATV quad racing,” says Freeman. “Then we added in sky diving, wake boarding, wake surfing, snowmobiling, off-road vehicles, and tons of different events. And on top of that, we love jumping cars. We’re all about living the dream!”
Their recently posted four-minute video has already hit almost 50,000 views. In the clip, the guys reveal the inspiration behind their latest stunt. “Finally the scrap yard came through with a V6 Ford F-150 XL to launch off the ramp,” says Freeman. “She wasn’t the fastest and couldn’t do a burnout but she still sent it!”
‘Finally the scrap yard came through with a V6 Ford F-150 XL to launch off the ramp.
She wasn’t the fastest and couldn’t do a burnout but she still sent it!’
After boosting the Ford F-150 several times and placing a big rock on the gas pedal, Freeman sends the truck at high speed up a 32-foot ramp and through the air to crash land on the dirt road below. Multiple camera angles — courtesy of a drone — capture the truck’s aerodynamics.
Sure, the F-150 blew a tire, lost a door, and the bumper got smooshed into the engine, but it was all worth it. Of the truck, which had a couple hundred thousand miles on it, Freeman says: “I think this thing’s had a pretty good life.”
Happy with their flying-truck results, Freeman smashes the front window with a celebratory stomp.
If you enjoyed what Mark Freeman #408 did with the F-150, you’ll a ot more videos on the crew’s YouTube channel, which has amassed over 176 million — MILLION! — views. Just to be fair, they do challenging things to Chevys and Dodges, too!
