Lifted Ford F-150 Takes on New Ram in Interesting Comparison
This Ford F-150 and Ram couldn’t be much more different. But that makes comparing them even more fun.
These days, the truck world is all about constant comparisons. Which is to be expected in the most heated market on the planet. Every year, it’s all about packing in more features, more power, and more intelligent design in a never-ending battle for supremacy. But for 40 years now, Ford has held the full-size truck crown. So why not do a comparison test that’s a little, well, different? Maybe like one between the all-new 2019 Ram and a lifted 2018 Ford F-150?
That’s exactly the unusual comparison that takes place in this video from Main Street Customs 33513. And while some will obviously point out that this is one seriously strange comparo on paper, we say, why not? For around the same price, you can probably own either. And hey, both now have 35-inch tires. Which required a little bit of modification to the front bumper of the Ram.
Outside of the new rolling stock, the Ram is otherwise unmodified. The Ford F-150, on the other hand, is loaded with custom goodies. On the inside, that includes carbon fiber trim pieces and red/black leather seats. Our host notes, however, that the interiors are both quite attractive. “The Ram’s just so nice inside,” he says. “I mean, they’re both great trucks. You can’t go wrong.”
Obviously, this particular Ford F-150 sports a load of upgrades. From the lifted suspension to the ram air setup and the giant rolling stock. Which, of course, makes this a rather unfair comparison. But in the comments section it’s quite clear which truck people prefer.
“That Ford is so good looking,” says one viewer. “The Ford is the best to me. Nice truck,” says another. “F-150 is so underrated. The Ram is beautiful as well, but in all fairness it is a Limited. That 12-inch screen wins the battle on screens. But other than that, I honestly take the Ford. It’s very beautiful.”
Hard to argue with that. Thus, this time around, it looks like the Ford F-150 wins another (unique) comparison test!
