OPTIMA Presents MY RIDE! A 2001 Ford Expedition XLT Sport
When it comes to solid trucks, there really is nothing better than a Ford. Not only are they reliable, but they can handle a large workload, double well as a daily driver or an off-road play toy, and are relatively cheap and easy to work on. To find something better would simply be an impossibility, especially considering the recent string of recalls that General Motors has seen occur with many of their rides. So while competition may exist, nothing really lives up to the same standard.
F150Online member Glen (A.K.A. “Glen R“) is smart enough to be a Ford fan, and owns several of the amazing rides himself. Today we’ll be stepping into his garage and taking a closer look at what lies within!
His main vehicle is a 2001 Ford Expedition XLT Sport, painted in a brilliant shade of red. The ride seems to be perfect for Glen, who lives in the wonderful state of North Carolina. While the Expedition surely functions well in the regular day to day commute, it is also perfect for the snowy months that hit the state. And when snow comes, it’s always good to have a ride that is built to handle it better than most!
But while this ride is overall quite good, Glen has also done a few things to it to make it that much better! As it sits now, the 5.4L 4×4 Expedition has Bilstein shocks, Kelly Safari TSRs (size 285/70r17) on black Helo 791 wheels, an Edge CTS, and a Volant cold air intake.
In addition to his 2001 Expedition, Glen is also the proud owner of a 2010 Ford Expedition EL Limited, a 2005 Suzuki Dstrom DL1000, and a 1993 VFR750 (RC30).
Go stop by his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a great time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on MY RIDE!
