OPTIMA Presents MY RIDE! A 1979 Ford F-100 and a 2001 F-150
There are Ford enthusiasts, and then there are auto enthusiasts. Some people just love the glorious beauty of Ford trucks (and, really, who could blame them?), whereas others find that they enjoy anything that moves.
F150Online member oldnnew loves his Ford trucks, but he is also a fan of snowmobiling and antique tractor pulling, so we’d say that he’s the latter type of person. This is definitely not a bad thing. What could possibly be wrong with a bit of variety? Well, as long as Ford is included in the bunch, of course!
Today we’ll step inside oldnnew’s garage and take a closer look at the amazing rides that he has within!
The first vehicle that oldnnew owns is his 1979 F-100. This was his first vehicle, and it’s still serving him well! He originally spend $500 on it as a work truck, and it has an abundance of problems.
The engine knocked, the transmission slipped, and the bed was rusted out. However, it’s now been ten years since he bought this rig and the ride now sports a moderately built 302 mated with a C-4 automatic transmission and is going strong! What more could one hope for than a reliable classic?
In addition to the lovely ’79 F-100, oldnnew also owns a 2001 F-150, a 1999 ZL600 snowmobile, and a 2002 ZL600 EFI SS snowmobile. Clearly he has a garage full of intriguing rides, and they definitely seem to be in good hands!
Check out his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
