OPTIMA Presents MY RIDE! A 2002 Ford Expedition
Sometimes the most seemingly ordinary rides are, in fact, the most extraordinary. This is where the concept of “sleepers” comes from, and it’s all too frequent on roads throughout the country. After all, most modifications are under the hood, which results in a rather plain and regular ride that may, in fact, pack a punch. Though it isn’t always a change in speed or power, these rides can often still be far from stock and be quite different from what they appear to be.
While F150Online member the_tool_man has down some appearance modifications on his ride as well as others, the rig still look relatively normal, which is definitely a bit deceiving. Today we’ll step inside his garage and take a closer look at the ride that lies within!
The_tool_man is the proud owner of a 2002 Ford Expedition Ediie Bauer Edition. The ride is two-wheel-drive and sports a 5.4L motor, as well as an abundance of modifications. Outwardly, we can see that the rig has Lightning headlights, Spyder LED taillights, billet grilles, Lightning wheels, and more. Of course, there is more than meets the eye!
What one might not know by glancing at this Expedition, is that is has the Gotts intake mod, a rebuilt 4R100 with a mild shift kit, Belltech 2″ drop spindles, and more.
The_tool_man has done a good job with his ride, and it definitely looks pretty good. We’re sure that it is also a blast to drive!
Go check out his garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on MY RIDE!
