OPTIMA Presents MY RIDE! A 2005 F-150 SuperCrew
Ford has been making trucks for a long time, and every year that they assembled these rides was one to be remembered. Still, sometimes it feels like we give the classics and the most modern rigs the most love, even though that’s not our intention.
Though we’re all looking forward to the 2016 F-150 and love seeing a cleanly restored F-100 from back in the day, it doesn’t mean that the ride that came between these completely different eras ought to be disregarded or thrown aside.
In fact, today we’ll be showing them a bit more love as we step inside F150Online member 05F150Tex‘s garage and take a closer look at his rig that lies within!
Though not an antique Ford or the latest version to hit the road, 05F150Tex seems to be quite proud of his 2005 Ford F-150 SuperCrew XLT 4×4 — and rightfully so. We can’t over-exaggerate how popular and wonderful this era of Ford trucks really was, though we’re sure that the testimonials of those who have owned these mid-2000 beauties can attest to how great they really are. 05F150Tex definitely seems to enjoy his!
He has also put a lot of time and effort into his truck, and as it sits now the F-150 has a 2.5″ EZ lift, a Frontier Heavy Duty Grille Guard, a custom Headache Rack, Trail FX Nerf Bars, a Magnaflow SI/SO exhaust, and more.
Though maybe not the “latest and the greatest” or old and glorious, this 2005 F-150 is a ride to be proud and we’re very happy to feature it here today!
Go stop by 05F150Tex’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week on MY RIDE!
