Rad Rides-built Ford F-250 a High Rolling Custom Masterpiece
Longtime custom truck builder goes above and beyond to craft a normal Ford Super Duty into something special.
These days, it takes a lot to simply grab someone’s attention. We live in a world where folks walk around, eyes fixated on their smartphones. Or just blindly staring ahead, thinking about all the things they have to accomplish that particular day. As a result, advertisers must resort to some pretty extreme methods to peddle their wares. Another side effect is that custom trucks are getting wilder, bigger, and proudly outrageous. But this insane 2019 Ford F-250 built by Rad Rides is even more audacious than most.
The Garland, Texas-based company is no stranger to building show-stopping pickups. After all, they’ve been doing it for over ten years now. The one-stop shop does a ton of little things for customers like installing lift/level kits and wheels and tires. But you can also opt to give your existing truck an extreme makeover. Or, just buy a complete turnkey head turner like this giant in-your-face Ford.
Yes, this particular Super Duty is currently up for sale. And it’s been fitted with enough custom parts to ensure that it stands out from an increasingly growing crowd. The foundation (literally) of the build is an 8″ Fabtech lift kit, which makes room for 22″ forged Fuel wheels wrapped in massive 40″ Nitto tires.
The latter of which are coated in an attractive deep red that perfectly complements the truck’s sinister black exterior. You’ll also find many matching accents all over (and under) the Ford. Custom badges, diff covers, bumper inserts, and suspension parts, to name a few. We’re especially digging the custom Road Armor Identity bumpers, which really set this truck off and give it an extra aggressive appearance. Stuffing them with retina-searing Rigid LED lighting doesn’t hurt, either.
But for a truck dubbed “Project Overkill,” we wouldn’t expect anything less. And whether this Ford F-250 fits your personal taste or not, you have to admire it for what it is. And that’s an obsessively detailed, purpose-built showstopper. This Super Duty will command attention everywhere it goes, and that’s exactly what it was built to do.
