Rare Restomod F-1 Up for Sale for $64,900

Expertly Maintained 1948 Ford F-1 Truck Combines the Best of Classic and Contemporary Bad-Assness

If you’re a fan of restomods, it’s hard not to drool at the sight of this 1948 Ford F-1. Aside from that gorgeous Forrest Green paint, the most unique thing might be the model year. While there are endless hot rodded ’50s Fords out there, you won’t see many ’48s like this one, which is currently up for sale for $64,900.

And while unique often means ugly, that certainly isn’t the case here. The body has received a host of tasteful modifications, yet retains much of its original character. Much of the original chrome has thankfully been retained, but things like the tailgate have been smoothed out.

The new and old theme continues with a larger set of modern steel wheels, which have new Nitto tires mounted on them. The truck sits low on front and rear leafs and air shocks. Brakes are disc in the front and drum in the back. And a 3.25 geared Dana 44 rear end makes for easy cruising.

As a result, you’ll want to do a lot of cruising thanks to this modern drivetrain. A later model fuel injected 5.0 liter V8 sits under the modified hood, backed up by a C6 automatic transmission. That motor makes sweet music through a full dual-exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers.

The inside is as nice or nicer than the outside, with gray and green leather upholstery. Look up and you’ll see a pleated headliner, and in front of you are Classic Instruments gauges and a billet steering wheel. A Vintage Air unit will keep you cool, and there’s even a console to hold your beverages.
