SEMA 2019 Power Diesel Rescue Truck

Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels brought this beefed up 2019 Ford F-150 Power Stroke Project ‘X’ Rescue truck to SEMA 2019.

Tucked away in the upper South Hall at this year’s SEMA show was this respectably built off-road F-150. Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels, better known in the off-road world as M/T, built this truck not only as a fully functional rescue truck, but to also pose as a clever model for the brand’s wheels and tires. Other reputable off-road brands are features on this truck as well, but we couldn’t resist the temptation to take a close look at this incredible truck. Unsurprisingly, This 2019 Ford F-150 Power Stroke turned out to be well worth the gander.

This diesel powered off-roader, while definitely not a coal roller, brought a lot of curious people to M/T’s vendor area. M/T built this truck in conjunction with brands like King Off-Road, Atlas, R1 Concepts and aFe Power to handle tough situations, and to look and sound incredible all while doing so. The F-150 Power Stroke comes with a 3.0 liter turbo diesel V6, of which makes 250 hp and a respectable 440 ft lbs of torque.

M/T’s off-road build couldn’t be considered finished without some seemingly standard engine modifications. First, an aFe cold air intake was added, along with a BladeRunner GT Series intercooler, a Titan fuel tank designed to extend the truck’s range, and a premium exhaust by aFe. Aside from that, M/T mostly left the refined turbo diesel to do its own thing. After all, no one would fix something that isn’t broken, right?

As for the exterior, M/T went with N-Fab to create a sturdier front and rear steel bumper. Ingeniously, N-Fab decided to fabricate a row of KC Gravity Hilites within the front bumper. Go Rhino is responsible for the roll bar seen in the bed of the truck, and the flashy fender flares were provided by Bushwacker. Both stylish and insanely functional, this F-150 is not a truck to be trifled with by any means.

As for suspension and wheel choices, M/T did not go quietly. The tires, which are M/T’s own 15/43-20LT Baja Pro XS tires, are fitted to M/T’s 20×12 SideBitter wheels that they powder coated red. To add extra off-road protection, the tires are bead-locked to the wheels with OMF Sim-U-Lock bead lock rings. In the front suspension department, on top of Bulletproof’s 12 inch suspension workings are King coil overs.

The truck’s rear is fitted with Atles rear leaf springs along with King smooth body remote reservoir shocks. For added frontal support, M/T added  Eibach 800lb SR front coil springs to their extensive list of modifications. To make stopping this heavy truck easy, M/T went with slotted and drilled rotors from RI Concepts.

In the world of F-150 Online, none of us are strangers to these sorts of builds, but even so we felt this truck more than worthy of a mention and a write up. The blacked out lights, the steel bumpers and fender flares were what drew us closer to this amazing truck. This isn’t a Raptor, but we’re definitely thinking it could stand up against one fairly easily. Maybe not in a drag race, but on dirt, this is one serious contender.
