SpeedKore Builds Singer Brantley Gilbert a 700 HP Custom F-150
F-150 beast was made to suit the country star’s cool style and kick it in the sticks.
County singer Brantley Gilbert has always been a huge Ford truck fan. Now the singer-songwriter has scored the ultimate ride: A custom built Ford F-150 truck. Gilbert partnered with SpeedKore Performance Group to create a F-150 that was tailor-made for him. And it is killer.
The custom Ford F-150 made its debut at this year’s SEMA, but not before Gilbert got a chance to check out his new ride. “Ohhh myyy God….” Gilbert says in awe when SpeedKore reveals the finished product for the first time.
SpeedKore is known for their use of carbon fiber upgrades and superior performance, and Gilbert’s custom F-150 does not disappoint. It has badass details inside and out, and a powertrain to be reckoned with.
The F-150 Pro-Touring Edition Concept was brought to life by working closely with Gilbert. He needed a truck that could kick up dirt, accommodate his work and family, and of course, look and drive like a beast.
No problem. SpeedKore started by powering the truck with a 5.0-liter Coyote V8, Ford Performance/Roush supercharger, cold-air intake and side-exit exhaust. This was paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The company took inspiration from their muscle car builds, and gave Gilbert’s truck a more aggressive appearance. They refined the style with with custom carbon fiber used in panels, fenders, brake vents, mirror covers, cab panels, brake ducts, front fenders, tailgate and tailgate handle.
Custom badging includes the singers name and initials. So sharp.
The truck bed also includes an amp rack and two of the singer’s custom guitars. And Gilbert’s name is in billet lettering on the tailgate.
“It’s got my name on the seat!” Gilbert says, checking out the very sleek leather interior. SpeedKore included a child seat with brass knuckles (so cool) that can be folded down easily.
Once Gilbert hops in starts up the roaring F-150 he’s ready to go. “Whoo-hoo! We gotta get this thing on the road!” And he does, taking it out in the parking lot for a few quick laps.
Gilbert couldn’t be more excited about this sweet one-of-a-kind ride.
“You know I’m a Ford man,” he says. “And now I’m a SpeedKore man, too.”
Us too, man. Us too.
