If the Hennessey VelociRaptor is the ultimate, low production version of Ford’s venerable Raptor pickup, that makes the VelociRaptor SUV a veritable unicorn of family haulers.  Only around 30-60 of these eight passenger beasts were built over the 2013 and 2014 model years, and now there’s a used one up for grabs.

Hennessey took a stock Raptor and turned it into a full sized sport utility with seating for up to eight people. While you could order a Hennessey VelociRaptor with the stock drivetrain, this 2013 model has the 600 horsepower, supercharged upgrade.

It’s good for a claimed 5.9 second 0-60 time which is pretty quick for such a big, heavy ride. The Raptor is at it’s best off-road, and that extra power will come in handy when traveling (quickly) with a truck full of people. At an original sticker price of around $200,000, however, that speed doesn’t come cheap.

This one is the right color (black) as well, and it has 20″ Method wheels. It also has a built in Passport Radar-Laser Defense System to keep you out of trouble (unlikely), and a custom stereo with navigation.

So if you’re the type who loves the power and off-road capability of the Raptor and VelociRaptor but need to haul around more than four or five people, the VelociRaptor SUV might just be your ride. Available at a fraction of the $200k asking price, you might also just be able to get all that for Range Rover money as well.
