This week’s Tire Smokin’ video features a very, very badly beaten up 1994 Ford F-150. I don’t know what happened to this F-150, but the windows are broken out, the roof is crumpled, the cab looks to be crooked on the frame and it appears as though the frame is bent in the middle.
Not many of the videos that we feature here on F150Online include fine art, but this week’s Throwback video is an F-150 commercial that begins with the icon image of Whistler’s Mother.
This week’s Truckin’ Fast video features a 2011 Ford F-150 pickup racing at Bithlo Dragway against an S197 Mustang GT. In most cases, a race between an F-150 and a Mustang GT would amount to a beating for the pickup but this F-150 is powered by a supercharged 5.0L engine that makes some serious power.
The Ford F-150 SVT Lightning is best known for being one of the fastest production trucks of all time, but this week’s Mudfest video features a Lightning that has been modified like few others I’ve seen. Rather than weight reduction and drag radial tires, this SVT F-150 has a massive lift kit and a set of gigantic tractor tires that make it one big, bad, blown Ford truck.
The 2015 Ford F-150 production has begun and it wont be long before they start arriving at dealerships around the country. Once the first wave of next generation F-150 pickups have hit the market and proven the success of the aluminum panels, it should only be a matter of time before we see a new and improved SVT F-150 with the same lightweight advantages.
