Canada is a great place for trucks. Well, Ford trucks. There’s fresh air, open space, and plenty of snow to conquer. It’s no surprise that so many people in the country do own trucks to help get them through the rather rough cycles of nice summer and frigid winters. Just another reason to love four wheel drive!

F150Online member grizzstang has certainly realized this truth, and we’re sure he’s glad for it. Today we’ll be stepping into his garage and looking at his 2003 F-150 FX4 just a little bit closer!

Even though F-150 trucks are capable of quite a lot, it isn’t surprising that grizzstang felt led to modify his beyond its stock form. We would say that the improvements are more in regards to making the vehicle more fun rather than conquering the cold Alberta winters. Thus there is no snow plow on the front (sorry Boston!).

As the rig sits now, the 5.4L has a custom tuned Gryphon Programmer, a do-it-yourself air intake modification, duel 16” Derale Tornado E-fans with a DD PAC-2700 fan controller, custom true duals with an X-pipe and twin 18” Magnaflows, a factory tech separator plate, an F-250 SD transmission cooler, a digital transmission temperature gauge, and much more.

Grizzstang has done an excellent job with his 2003 F-150, as many people on this wonderful site have. Though modifying and improving upon a vehicle can be a black hole when it comes to finances, clearly all has been worth it for the magnificent ride!

Go check out grizzstang’s garage and leave some comments, browse the photography, and have a good time! Be sure to keep your garage up to date and maybe you’ll be featured next week!
