Harley-Davidson F-150s ordered through December 31 get a free supercharger that boosts output to 700 horsepower.

How do you make a cool truck even more badass? Easy. Add power. That’s what Tuscany is doing with its Harley-Davidson edition Ford F-150. It’s offering a free supercharger upgrade on qualifying trucks.

The Harley-Davidson F-150 is based on the 2019 F-150 SuperCrew Lariat and comes with either the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 or the 5.0-liter V8 and two-wheel or four-wheel drive. In a throwback to the bygone Harley-Davidson F-150s with the supercharged V8, Tuscany is offering a supercharger at no extra cost for all V8-powered H-D F-150s ordered between now and December 31. That gives the 5.0 under the Harley-Davidson F-150’s bulging, vented hood 700 horsepower and 655 lb-ft of torque.

It’s been almost a decade since Ford produced a factory version of a Harley-Davidson-themed F-150. Tuscany, the Special Vehicle Manufacturer behind the Shelby F150 and FTX and Tonka special editions, displayed a concept version of their 2019 F-150 Harley-Davidson at the motorcycle company’s 115-year anniversary party in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2018.

The production version debuted back in February at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show sporting a wide array of upgraded parts and design cues inspired by the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy and CVO bikes. The new hardware ranges from a custom suspension to specially tuned Fox shocks to a Flowmaster exhaust with dual orange-tipped billet aluminum exhaust finishers. According to Tuscany, the exhaust system was “custom-tuned to include characteristics of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.”

The custom grille is accented with orange; in the back, there’s a Harley-Davidson applique on the tailgate. The “Fatboy Style” 22-inch wheels are wrapped in 35″ X 12.5″ all-terrain tires. A stylized version of Harley-Davidson’s logo is on the front fenders and tonneau cover.

Inside, there are embroidered diamond-quilted leather seats and even more logos, including one on the numbered plaque on top of the center console lid.

There’s a catch to this free additional muscle, though. “Anyone who is interested should act quickly because there are only about 250 of these limited-edition trucks available in dealer inventory today,” said Jeff Burttschell, Vice President of Tuscany Motor Co.

Prices start at $84,995 for the two-wheel-drive Harley-Davidson F-150 with the V8 and Equipment Group 501a. That’s a lot of money for any truck, but the fact that you can get it with 700 horsepower for no extra charge takes some of the sting out of it.

Derek Shiekhi's father raised him on cars. As a boy, Derek accompanied his dad as he bought classics such as post-WWII GM trucks and early Ford Mustang convertibles.

After loving cars for years and getting a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Derek decided to get an associate degree in journalism. His networking put him in contact with the editor of the Austin-American Statesman newspaper, who hired him to write freelance about automotive culture and events in Austin, Texas in 2013. One particular story led to him getting a certificate for learning the foundations of road racing.

While watching TV with his parents one fateful evening, he saw a commercial that changed his life. In it, Jeep touted the Wrangler as the Texas Auto Writers Association's "SUV of Texas." Derek knew he had to join the organization if he was going to advance as an automotive writer. He joined the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) in 2014 and was fortunate to meet several nice people who connected him to the representatives of several automakers and the people who could give him access to press vehicles (the first one he ever got the keys to was a Lexus LX 570). He's now a regular at TAWA's two main events: the Texas Auto Roundup in the spring and the Texas Truck Rodeo in the fall.

Over the past several years, Derek has learned how to drive off-road in various four-wheel-drive SUVs (he even camped out for two nights in a Land Rover), and driven around various tracks in hot hatches, muscle cars, and exotics. Several of his pieces, including his article about the 2015 Ford F-150 being crowned TAWA's 2014 "Truck of Texas" and his review of the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, have won awards in TAWA's annual Excellence in Craft Competition. Last year, his JK Forum profile of Wagonmaster, a business that restores Jeep Wagoneers, won prizes in TAWA’s signature writing contest and its pickup- and SUV-focused Texas Truck Invitational.

In addition to writing for a variety of Internet Brands sites, including JK Forum and Ford Truck Enthusiasts, Derek also contributes to other outlets. He started There Will Be Cars on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube to get even more automotive content out to fellow enthusiasts.
