Michael Ebert is an independent car transporter operating as TransWerks, L.L.C. Ebert uses his F-450 to haul almost 30,000 pounds between Colorado and Arizona on a route stretching 1,000 miles. He covers 2,500 to 3,300 miles per week, and changes his front tires every six weeks, or 15,000 – 20,000 miles to mitigate front-axle “death wobble” that occurs over expansion joints.
