Game Changer: Ford F-150 XL Lineup for 2015

One of the reasons the Ford F-Series of trucks has been so popular throughout the years is the amount of choices that Ford gives customers.

The F-150 has, over the years, had more than ten basic trim packages to choose from, with some features of each package being offered as options for other packages.

The 2015 F-150 lineup offers five basic choices, two of which, the Base XL and XLT each offer several subgroups of options packages.

Ford Offers Three XL Packages…

The XL is the lowest-priced of the available trim packages. The XL with Equipment Group Mid101A is bare bones, get the job done with no frills, with Dark Earth Gray cloth or Medium Earth Gray vinyl seats. The front and rear bumpers and front fascia are all black.

The XL Sport is a sporty upgrade that adds fog lamps, changes the 17-inch steel wheels to painted aluminum wheels, and also has a “SPORT” decal on the rear fenders. Another appearance upgrade is the front and rear bumper covers and front fascia are the same color as the body of the vehicle.

The final XL sub-option is the XL Chrome. As you can guess it has been chromed. The front and rear bumpers are chrome steel, adding a bit of bling to the appearance. The standard 40/20/40 front seats are also available as 40/console/40 bucket seats.
