A New Look: Ford F-150 XLT Lineup for 2015
The 2015 F-150 comes with a unique instrument panel with two outer circular gauges and a rectangular programmable display. This programmable display allows the driver to display readings from up to seven sensors. Display options may differ between trim packages.
The “base” XLT is Equipment Group Mid 301A, the exterior features of which are the chromed grille surround and grille with black mesh inserts. The headlight surrounds remain the surrounding body color.
Appearance Package 862 takes the XLT Sport low profile returning the grille surround and bumpers to the surrounding body color, but giving the grille a black billet-style appearance. Step boards are also added.
The XLT Chrome brings in Appearance Package 86B adds chrome bumpers, billet-style grille and surround, and step bars. The wheels are also upgraded to 18-inch PVD wheels with a chrome look.
Buyers can also choose between two and four-wheel drive options, with the four-wheel packages also having the FX4 package available as an extra. There’s a V6 and two V8 engine packages to choose from, each of which Ford assures us will help keep their Corporate Average Fuel Economy numbers highs.
