dang that sucks, the wheels should be lug centric, i wonder how something like that could happen?

I LOVE THOSE WELDS!!!! i would have bought them in a heartbeat if they were for sale.

One Word............. EWWWWWWW. Glad to see it's a Chevy. A little more paddle on the tires and a blower outta the hood, it could be in the tractor pulls

Ok I will try and be more like you and make generalized statements that can be applied to anyone that may have posted in the thread instead of being a grown up. I look forward to being more like you.

Maybe you should take some of your own advise.

Oh and thanks for letting me know the Richard is typing function is broke I will see if I can get that fixed for you.

[QUOTE=DHGFX4;4862772]This may be true but i feel like it was safely and not stretched, nor buldging out. The big/wide wheel trend is now apparently stretching a 12.50 wide tire on a 14" wheel. That in my opinion is not fitting properly. But to each their own.

A 14" wheel and 12.50 tire..

Thanks for the compliments on the FX4s. I do not know of anyone else running this big of a tire on stock wheels either. Wish i could run the Welds again but im too lazy to polish them every week.. plus one of them has ruined lug holes. Not sure how it happened.. but im quite sure these wheels are lug-centric and im pretty sure this is where my vibrations were coming from..
[/QUOTE

That sucks man. I must say i was a huge fan of the 20x14's but the fx4's look good.

Personally I think that WELD wheel could be fixed. Take it too a welding shop.
tig weld one side shut, drill, flip repeat, polish. I'd trust it. I've seen worse wheels fixed and out back on DD's with no problems.

If you don't know a lot about welding probably sounds like a nightmare
(being a full time)lol, looks like a breeze

DHG have you contacted Weld and see if they will repair the wheels for a small charge or free? If not it sure couldn't hurt to try. Also if you get them repaired and polished up real good you could always apply some zoop seal that will help protect the wheels an keep them shiny.

how wide are the fx4 rims?
im running 305/70r16 on an 8 inch rim. roughly 33x12
im trying to convince my friend who is in need of new tires to go wider. he has stock rims.

he has at/ko's now, but still stock tire size.

and this is what my rig used to like, and i personally thought it was classy. wanted to put them on 35's but i wanted a lift and thought the 22's would then be tacky.
