Thumbs down F150 -vs- Suburban

I stopped at a yellow light on wet pavement going down hill and the "american revolution" 2003 suburban couldnt stop in time. The intersections was a "redlight camera controlled" intersection, so thats why i was stopping at yellow. I saw it coming but was helpless, just as he was.

The guy was very nice, has same insurance company as me, so hopefully all will be worked out smoothly.

We exchanged information and were just about to leave and a cop rolled up and flicked his lights on, he was going to back up and pull in behind the suburban but forgot to look, he backed over the blue cobalt you'll see in a pic or two. Then an army of cops showed up

The drivers bedside is about 1/8" away from the tire. from what i looked at the frame and notch look ok, just folded the bumper brackets up and maybe very slightly bent where the brackets bolt to the frame.

The daughter riding in the very back seat got jacked up and was taken away in a hospital in an ambulance as a precaution.

Ill be taking more detailed pictures once my back and neck arent hurting as much. Here's what i took from my phone from the scene.

Damn the luck, Pat. I hope you're OK, your health is more important than the truck. It can be repaired. :o

Man that truck seems like bad luck. Just as soon as you get it back something else happens. Sorry man. Good that no one was injured too badly. Its going to take a bit to get that fixed though. It looks like it rippled the bedside, and those are not easy to replace.. or cheap.

Takes a pretty hard hit to make those suburbans bumpers do that. I thought those things were built somewhat tough in the front. I remember fixing one that hit a whitetail goin about 65mph. It was not THAT bad but none-the-less very messy. Looks like he hit you going pretty quick.

Anyhow, I hope you get your truck back to normal again soon. Go to the doctor

Those tahoe/suburbans are weak in the front, crush too easily. My Dad has one and was in a wreck on the freeway like Pat's and it did the same thing. People drove crazy in front of him and he collected the back end of a mess of cars, ruining the front of his suburban.
