So last night I put my cluster back together without red LEDs, I was trying something new. Now all my gauges are incorrect, and speedometer stick and does like 5mph jumps. How would I fix that issue?

Also, look what came in the mail!

The only way I know to fix the issue is to take all the needles off while the engine is running and place them all lightly back on so they go to the right place, once they are correct press them on a little harder but not so hard that they drag on the gauge faces.

Figured I'd post what my truck looks like while driving now.

Seen this nice truck driving by and had to see what you guys think his rim size was.

I saw your other post on the instrument cluster thread...so did that end up working? Just putting the film over the back of your gauges? Looks really good!

Yeah, it ended up working pretty well. All I did was use the film and regular bulbs, because the LED's didn't have a huge angle, so now there isn't any hot spots.

Min didn't work with acetone, so I jus scratched it off with a razor and laid the tint over it.

So you left the green tint on there then? You know you have to scrape that white off before you acetone right? I think I might try what you did though but with blue tint - so I can have a more even light output.

I got my replacement from a 98 expedition...the 97-98s had blue tint rather than green. Probably won't help you any though since you want red, but it will at least get it back to looking normal without the big blank spot.

No, I scratched all the white stuff off, it took awhile. Then I just took the red plastic and cut it out and taped it where I wanted. I don't mind the hole, it's not as big as you think, only thing I'm worried about is not being able to get my gauges fixed. Can't I just bring it in, and have Ford reprogram it?

You think so? I can't tell what are 20's and what are 22's.

The "white stuff" isn't the green tint. The green tint is underneath the white layer and can't be scraped off. Sounds like you left the green tint on there and your red overlay overpowered it.

Exhaust sounds good!

As for your gauges, you can get the dealer to reprogram it, but it might only be a few extra bucks to just buy a programmer lol. I just bought one, but it's not working properly - I emailed edge about it tonight.

I scrapped the white bumpy layer off, and then scrapped the green tint off as well.

Thanks, I'm loving the sound of it.

A programmer would fix it all for me? All my gauges are off (oil, battery, speed, fuel, rpm, coolant).
