nah, like 1clean42 said, butyl is just a better material. you can get that on ebay too tho. the main thing is how well you apply it no matter which you use. be sure you stick it on THOROUGHLY and then go back over it with a roller. and yea, i bought dynamat once, your only paying for the name. you can find fatmat pretty reasonably priced as well.

Okay, well I got everything out, and now I just need to buy the sound damping crap. Maybe I should just line-x the inside.

Tada! Took about a good 3-4hrs with me getting pissed and wanting to just break it.

Well I was thinking about just going and buying a few cans of bedliner spray? Would be cheaper. But, yeah I didn't devise a way to figure out where all the holes are, but I have Labor day weekend to figure that out.

As for everything I'm painting, I have a clear coat, but don't know if it protects.

Because this is what I bought awhile ago, and I don't know if it has the UV Protection.

Wow, that's gutted. If I ever paint mine completely black that's what I will be doing.

Be careful with the bedliner...from what I've heard, it will stink up your cab depending on what kind you get. Might air it out real good after you're done if you decide to do it.

Well, if I can find my battery charger for my camera, I'll make sure I take pictures of all the hidden bolts, it sucks!

I was looking at this:

There everywhere, there's 1 on the driver side door, in between the plastic and frame and 2 on the passenger side (or something like that), then right behind the passenger ABS light, there one hidden and that was the last bolt where I almost broke the dash because I was getting pissed. All you seen was me pulling and pounding the **** out of the dash.

Now, does anyone know if that trunk spatter would work for sound damping?

Ordered 1/2 of BXT II and 2 yards of Ensolite from Rick at RAAMaudio! He has been very helpful and being quick on getting my order out so I can install this on the roof and the back wall of the truck!

Also, I'm going to take my dash to an professional, that way the biggest piece in the truck I can trust won't crack or fade due to the heat. Jake wants me to do semi-gloss, I just want it to look as if it came stock. How much do you think it will cost?

No, I was just thinking to go with the stock look. Unless you guys can convince me with some pictures. I'm not really a fan of gloss for the interior.

But the rest of my plastic are not smooth? So it wouldn't blend in. I found this, and to me gloss dash doesn't look that good.

Now, I suppose i can go smooth, but have it match the spray paint I've been using?

I'd go flat black (and did go flat black ). It's the cleanest looking imo. Looks stock but is custom and will be noticed to the trained eye.

I've decided to just go up and tell them to match a plastic piece I already painted, and just sand it smooth.
