That's not a bad idea. You don't think this would look good?

I found a SS rollpan for $150, was wondering what you guys think about me getting it? Should I? Of course I'd have to get smooth step sides and bed rails, just wondering what you'd think? I'm sure I'd have to get the rear window surround as well done, like this truck:

Also, what would be the best way to paint the window shield like on this truck? I think it looks pretty clean.

Anyone have any suggestions? Should I get the SS rollpan? Should I PTM my surround and window visors?

I don't know about the surround, but the window visors yes. Been wanting to get a set of those myself and the whole roll pan thing has been going through my head lately.

Only reason I'm thinking about doing the surround, is because all the newer body styles have a PTM surround (well it's just metal), and if I got a rollpan, I'd have to get the PTM step sides, then possibly the bed rails, so if I got the surround, I think it'll look pretty good and I'll just leave the mirrors and windshield wiper surround black. Then it might be to much red and that's not what I want.

I think it'd look better if you left the plastic black (surround, caps, steps, etc) just to break up the the red.

Yeah, so I won't go with a rollpan then.

Finally get my truck back tomorrow! My unit were being ****s and wouldn't let me drive my truck because California wouldn't send my registration to me unless I get a smog test which I couldn't since I was acrossed the nation. So, my unit made me park it until I get it registered, finally after 2 months I finally got everything worked out by DMV and now it's registered, get to move it from its parking spot finally!

So, I went woke up alittle early to get my truck before work. Tried to start it and the battery was dead, so hooked the wife's Mazda 3 up to it for like 15 minutes, nothing. After work hooked my friends 2003 Ram 1500 to it for about 15-20 minutes, nothing. So I had to buy a new battery, $83 for a damn battery. Oh well, I get $12 for returning the old battery. I must say, I do miss my truck, now just gives me motivation to finish painting the rest of the pieces.

So, my question is, has anyone had a dash kit and removed the kit? Mine has the primer still on it which helped the 3M tape stick better, and I don't know how to remove it.
