What was the prep involved in doing the bumpers? I have the chrome (I HATE CHROME!) , and wanna black out the truck, but I know that getting them powdercoated will cost me my first born.

thanks so much for that link & the info on that liner. this worked well with my truck. im hoping that it lasts longer than the spray paint that i used before. those chips were pretty bad.

here is what it my bumper looked like after i spray painted it. i like the look of the gloss with the spray paint, but the rock chips after a little while made it look bad.

Line-X can be done in any color that you would like. I have seen members on here who have PTM'ed their bumpers by using colored Line-X. Slips my mind, but one member in particular has his bumpers line-X'ed red to match his truck and you couldnt even tell the difference in color.

Well, I kinda half-a$#ed mine. All I did was take steel wool to the chrome bumper and chrome brush guard, then a scotch brite to the silver two-tone. Bought 4 cans of spray bed liner and went at it.
