Expedition Seats for a 2000 F-150 - WILL THEY FIT??

I am looking to upgrade my FRONT seats in my 2000 F-150 Lariat because the drivers side is torn in 3 places and the passenger side is "wear cracked" all over. I currently have the 60/40 bench in Tan Leather, and will accept the same; but thought that the Bucket Seats with a Console would be nicer. Will the buckets and console from 1997-2003 F150 OR Expedition bolt right in and work?? What about the "electrical functions"?? HELP and SUGGESTIONS ARE NEEDED and APPRECIATED!! I am supposed to go look at a set of Expedition seats this evening at a junk yard. THANKS!

It's basically a direct swap, except there is a bolt hole or two that need to be tapped. I believe the spots are marked on the floor pan though, so you won't be drilling just random holes. With the electric functions, all you have to do is run a hot wire and ground to the seats and they will work.

So....the expedition seats would be a direct swao? the guy at the salvage yard said they were different. I knew they changed the seat style after 2000 in the truck too. Why would holes have to be drilled and tapped? for the buckets or because they came from an expedition?

Also, my seats have the electric functions on the side of the seat facing up. They also have Manual Lumbar. Say....the seats I get are electric, but with more options like electric lumbar, heated seats, and/or memory functions. WHat would I have to do to make all of that "hook up" correctly with my existing electric seat plug.

Thanks for all the help. I am just tryin to figure out what I'm getting in to before I go and buy these today. THANKS!!

I haven't done this first hand, I'm just going off of what I've read and heard from other members. The extra holes need to be done because you are going from a bench to bucket. When you get the seats and see how they mount compared to your bench you will know what I'm talking about. The way they mount on the inside portion is different. In Jake's old f150 he went from manual seats to power expy buckets and I remember him saying that all he did to get the power seats to work was run a power wire and ground to the seat module. You could do it this way, but I'd be willing to bet that if your current plug fits then it would work just fine. The seat functions aren't part of the rest of the truck, as long as power goes to the module under the seat all of the functions should work.

Yes, it's a direct swap. Hardest things will be to wire up the seats for the power functions.

I just did it on my '00 regular cab from an '04 Expy, and it was easier than I thought it was going to be.

So, I went by the junk yard the other day; and after they said they had plenty of Ford trucks and had a good set of Expedition seats; all they had was a vinyl set of seats out of a regular cab XL F-150; and the Expedition they had was an '04 model that was VERY open to the elements and the drivers seat was missing. The passenger seat had soo much mold on it, that it wasn't worth it. Even my cracked and torn bench leather seats in my 2000 F-150 are nicer than anything they had!!! I guess its all about patience and looking around until I find what I want.

Anyways, the 2004 Expedition seats will work in the front even though thats a newer bodystyle than the 2000?? My seats are already electric (6 way I guess), and how hard would it be adapting the new seats with different functions. Should I cut the plug out of the donor vehicle and wire it to my truck?? THanks for all of the help!!

I am looking to pay no more than $200 for a nice set of leather buckets with console or leather bench. THANKS!

Not 100%, but I don't think the 04's will be direct like the 97-03's. Where are you located? I have gray leather bucket from an expy for sale. I'm in omaha, ne. Let me know where you are at.

Do you have any pics of these seats? I have an 02 fx4 with grey cloth seat that I am looking to swap out for some leather ones. Are the seatbelts in the seat? Would you be willing to ship them?
Thanks,Jon.

The 03-06 Expedition front seats are a DIRECT BOLT ON to the 97-02 Expy. So if the 97-02 Expy seats fit in the f150, then the 03-06 Expy seats should work. Same goes for the Lincoln Navigator...

The same thing goes for the console, correct?

Yes, but the dash is COMPLETELY different. You would need the NBS expy dash...

Please explain what you are talking about when it comes to the console and dash. I'm not used to the terms. So, you are basically saying that if I want to put 2005 Lincoln Navigator Seats in my 2000 Ford F-150, that I can with direct bolt on?? And that the console will directly bolt on too, but I need a special dash? What if I have the 60/40 Bench in the front of the F-150? Please explain what you are talking about. Pictures would help if you can. THANKS!
