Was your entire sending unit bad? Or just he pump. If it was just the pump shouldn't they have replaced just that vs the entire thing? Also, did they replace your fuel tank straps under the recall?
If not, I'd be complaining because you'll have to take time out of you day to take it back if your getting it fixed under the recall.

No, even with the manpower or lift and new hardware for what gets broken, it's still much much slower. This being the better option is one of those myths that go around the internet like the plague. If your interests involve auto repair long enough, you'll eventually rid yourself of this misconception, in time.

I asked around, this procedure usually runs $850 on average. Supposedly, the Ford Pumps or the replacements they use aren't cheap and should last the life of the vehicle. The original pumps have been much improved.
