Is there a group of members with really high milage? Is there a list of high milage vehicles by year or model to compare mine too?

Seeing people that have had a vehicle with that many miles makes me more confident that I won't have to buy a new vehicle for many years. My truck is around 81k if I remember correctly, and the miles that I drive would take me like 21yrs to rack that many miles up.

How do you make a vehicle last that long?

Thats the highest that I have seen for a f150 on this forum, but there was a 2002econoline van that just recently died at 1.4 million miles.

All people do is either find a post that's already been started for "100,000 Mile club" or "200,000 Mile club". Looks like there is only as high as "300,000 mile club" that I found on the SEARCH feature...

I guess you could start a "400,000 mile club" post? But, I'd want to see a pic of the ODO!

I'm only at 228,000, so have a ways to go even to be able to post in the "300,000 Mile club"!!

I plan on taking a pic of mine at 250,000 miles.. Should have no problem getting there!

Mitch

Damn, and here I thought my 210,000 '98 was maybe pushing it. haha That's incredible man. I bought mine at 86,000 in '03 and was a Coca-Cola merchandiser for a few years.. racked the miles up with them.

Having trouble figuring how to post pics....the oil was changed every 5,000 miles and an additive put in at each oil change after 100,000 miles. The tranny fluid was changed, not flushed, at 200,000 miles and new filter and gasket. Same mechanic did 90 percent of all the maintenance so he was always on the look out for the little things and caught them early. The original starter just went out at 350,000 miles. I have a buddy who is a Ford Mechanic Trainer and he has replaced window motors, power locks and other miscellaneous items that have gone out over the years. There was a crack in the ground bar for the odometer that caused it to stay on sometimes and disappear at others. A single drop of solder fixed that irritating problem. I guess this one rolled off the assembly line when everybody was in a good mood or something......

There's a 100,000, 200,000 and 300,000 mile club on this site. The 300,000 mile club is a very short list lol.

These are all in the "engine" forum. You could start your own over there.
