Help choose my wheels

Ok as a few of my posts have shown I`ve been looking for wheels. I have narrowed it down to 3 possible ones. I dont want black wheels like everyone is going to these days and with all the chrome on my truck and silver two tone the chrome looks better than black. I want them to stay tucked in the wheel well like stock or just a tad bit out farther....

My truck for reference

1 ) Discount Tires MB Wheels V-Drive 18X9 5-135 0C Chrome 0 offset and would put 285/60/18 tires on or possibly 1 step down. Cheapest wheels but more for tires...

2) American Racing AR901's Chrome in either 17x 8.5 with 0 offset and 265/70/17s or 18x9 with 0 offset and 285/60/18 tires

3) Fuel Hostage Chrome in either 17 x 9 with +1 offset an 265/70/17s or 18x 9 with +1 offset
or 18x9 with =14 offset...Both with 285/60/18s or so or smaller if needed.... Not sure which is the better choice in these the lower offset or the 14 version to keep them tucked in more. These are also most expensive...

Please feel free to critique or give any suggestions on sizings.

agree^^ normally i would say hostage over all of those but for some reason i think the american racing wheels will look best. those offsets will push the wheel and tire out around 2 inches further than stock (i dont know the offset of your factory wheels) but i think they will be flush and best. definitely no poke

I can't help you, I'm trying to do it myself. lol

I had 8 sets of wheels on my last project in 4 years. For my F150 I keep telling myself to go with the FX4 wheels since those are what I like best but another side says Buy lightweight aftermarkets.

A small part says, "buy what looks cool."

I don't know...

Good luck to you.

American Racing has been making some high quality wheels for a very long time. I like the brand and have had several sets of their wheels with no issues. ..If that helps.

I like the american racing ones the best too. I'm not a fan of the hostages in sizes under 20" or so because the center cap looks so large on them.

Yes they are chrome. They are the factory 5 spokes that had been chromed about 12 yrs ago. Unfortunately the chroming has cracked and split on the backs of 2 causing corrosion underneath. This actually has caused some pinhole leaks in 2 of the rims and reason for replacement shopping...I'm looking at over $1100 to get new ones like them chromed...Its cheaper to go aftermarket at this time.

The American racing is a new design for 2013 and actually the ones I was leaning towards...

All the offsets I have looked at and asked dealers about keeping factory stance have all come back in the 0-20 + offset

A few I looked at and really liked were -12 and -14 offsets which they all said would stick out more than stock.. On the rim comparison site here http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp I get they will stick out about .05 to .07 more than the stock ones depending on tire size chosen with a 0 or 1 offset.

I just need to decide if I want to go the 17 or 18" version...Tire choices seem to be reduced on the 18 sizing though.....

That same thing actually popped into my head. My wife has a Equinox with the narrow slats on the wheels that are a pain to clean. I saw these and actually thought to myself I`m going to have to get more wheel brushes...Luckily I don't offroad or the like so mine stay semi clean anyways..
