Hey guys, I ended up selling the old 97 that I have been working on like crazy since early winter and at this point I was about fed up and tired of putting more and more money into this old truck. I had my 2wd 2000 f150 from 2004 to 2013 with 0 issues other than maintenance but the under body was letting go so I bought a 1997 with the intention of building up but sold it and kept driving the 2000. Later on I traded one of my dirt bikes for another 97 and figured I had my 2000 for parts so why not. Got the tank straps replaced through recall on the 97 and when I recieved the truck back from ford the gas tank started leaking. So I swapped the tank/fuel pump then the u joints failed so I replaced them. Then tie rods and upper ball joints so I replaced them. Shortly after that the motor started knocking so I pulled the motor out of my 2wd and swapped it into the 97 and it worked good, for a bit. The brakes failed me aswell as rear shocks so I said eff it. I was spending too much time working on this truck that I couldnt spend time with the little guys and take them out dirt biking or anywhere for that matter just knowing that the truck was too un reliable so I opted out and got a new (new to me) truck. Heres my 2010 f150 lariat. BTW Im loving the microsoft sync. Just ordered a level lift for it and looking into some 20x9 rims and not sure if Im going to go back to the BFG at's or go for the new dunlop fierce attitude mt's.
