My reference to lower control arms was on 2wd lowers. I believe the uppers are the same.

It's already not hooked up and creating a hassle. Starting with a 2WD would've been much easier.

Yes, I am turning the 4wd to a 2wd, It requires alot to have a 5.4L 6 speed and retain the 4X4..

and yes path would have been much easier to start off with a 2wd but here is my question.

If you had a 5.4 doner laying around your shop and a 4x4 f150 with no engine and 3 broken transmissions.. wouldn't u just use the "Scrap" to make treasure ?

this is what I am doing.. Making a sleeper of whats laying around my shop and since I dont want to scrap out my lightning for parts I found a free Lightning front end frame with suspension and I am doing the mount swap as we speak..

The hardest parts are over, Whats left is just putting sugar flakes on a cake.

I wasn't criticizing you for starting with the truck you did. I knew why you did. I was just explaining to "illness95" why you were swapping out to 2WD components and made the comment that it would've been easier to start with a 2WD to further contribute to the fact that you don't need the 4x4 for this truck. Love the build and have zero criticisms about anything you've done with it

Just keep the end of the CV joint in the hub, and cut the axle off. It will retain ABS if you still have that

Truck has been parked for a very long time due to other work and i am back since last week.

From the looks of it, im 90% done mechanicaly and I just came across my last issue to be able to drive her good.

BRAKES i swapped out to a 2004 Cobra hydroboost system and the pedal felt so damn spongy and no brake power at all.

Heres what happened, I swapped the whole brake lines for new ones, got new calipers and rotors (since the old caliper pistons broke while i was trying to service. Still same issue, i then swapped for a 2012 GMC sierra 2500HD brake booster since its much stronger than the cobras and worked fine with all our nissan patrol v8 swaps.. and my issue now is a very hard pedal feel and tires lock immediately when i press the brake hard. Im not realy sure where to look now, no vacuum leaks no oil leaks and i bleeded the brake system twice.

This is my only issue left as after that its all some small stuff like lowering it, swapping seats and interior work.

Drove it and she drives fine with lots of power for fun but I can't handle that power with ****ty brakes.

Any help is appreciated

Edit:- Its been a year already ? Damn time flies fast.
